Hello,

Sorry abut the delay in response. File attachments for devlogs are a way of saying "this file is associated with the information in this post." It does not make those files for download on the devlog page. The most recent version of your game will always be available or download by going to your project's download page. We did this because we want to have a centralized place for someone to download the game, it would be confusing if there were different versions of files floating around on different posts.

So is there any recommended way to make the current version of a project downloadable or playable even if I upload a new version?  In particular, I want to be able to create newer versions of games I've submitted to jams, while also making available what I got done before the deadline.  The only way I've found to do that is to either reupload the file with a different name, or make sure I never upload new versions with the same name as my original upload (since there also doesn't seem to be a way to rename files that affects whether the file will be replaced).  Is there a better way to do this?

The current recommended way is to have a separate upload for the older version you want to preserve. 

If you use butler and out patching system, we do keep around old builds when you upload new ones but our UI currently doesn't let people download them directly.
