This was a neat set of mechanics! Definitely the potential for some fun platforming sections. What you presented at the game jam here demonstrates how the mechanics work, and where you'd go from here is to start fleshing out challenges that these tools can circumvent / new types of obstacles. I found that I started "teabagging" as I walked around (rather than doing longer slides) as that would sort of passively build up my heat meter which might have not been the intention. This did have the interesting side-effect of finding me building up heat faster by doing a little dance on the open flames lol.
