Nice Game!

A simple and clever twist on the twin-stick shooter: the one-click shooter!
Great artwork, cool background and fitting sound effects. All it was missing was a little juice, like screen shake when you fire. You might also consider adding a bounding box to prevent the player from reaching the far edges of the screen, to make moving themselves away from walls a little easier, and prevent enemies from unfairly spawning right on top of the player.

Good fun otherwise, I rather enjoyed. Well done, and good luck!

Developer

Haha thanks a lot mate. But how on earth did I forget screen shake!? Honestly just slipped my mind whoops. Also yeah, I was thinking about adding something to stop the player moving on to the edges of the screen but didn't get around to it in the end unfortunately. Thanks for the advice tho and good luck to you aswell :)

great idea and great job on making everything 8 bit, only problem i had was that the gun felt like it barely moved you

Developer

Cheers for the feedback man. The thing is, for the first 2 days of development, the gun did actually move the player more but I felt like it was a bit too difficult to control and quite frustrating so I toned it down a bit. Quite difficult to get the right balance it seems.

for the future it would be better for it to be higher than you'd lke so its easier to dodge but it also depeneds on how its mean't to be played

Developer

Yeah I completely get that, cheers for the advice.

You have very cool graphics! You managed not only to draw cats, but also to dress them in clothes! It is very cool! I understand that this is your mechanic, but I really miss the character control. It would be much more convenient to play if you could move the character. I liked the project! Keep it up!

Thanks so much! But yeah, I did think about adding normal WASD movement at one point but I wanted to stick with the original movement mechanic and see how it turned out. Don't think it turned out bad tbh but I completely understand where you're coming from. Thanks again :)
