I know someone had a similar issue but only with Firefox.
I wonder what could be making the font parsing to break like this.

Hopefully this means that the issue was fixed by some update in chrome, because I didn't get the chance to make any changes.

It works somewhat, the item descriptions, health and attack desciption are still semigarbled, but at least the dialogue is readable :)

Can you tell me which browser are you using?
I have had this reported to me happening to someone when using Firefox, but I have been unable to reproduce it myself.
