Almost all dialog  buttons when in the game have  default settings that you can manipulate with the arrow keys and return key. Tab sometimes does some stuff too ;>

Another interesting hidden interface feature is pressing continue at the extent of an air unit's range will send it home.

There is a lot of small things in the video I don't show because I did not think about it. I definitely wanted to get something more recent out there and it is all an ad-lib circus.

Won't be long now before you can stream it yourself!

Hi there, having great fun with it (11 hours in..). I am having trouble understanding how supply works in game.

In screen shot#1 I have Drain @ -29, but my production times for units is unaffected In Screen shot #2 my status shows Supply used and in game quantity . [I hope this info helps you understand my quandary. I thought a high drain equated to long production time. ]Is my supply being used constantly to offset the drain effect and just isn't shown as changing the actual drain amount? Cheers

Ah, the man is using map labels the way I do....

Supply is pretty simple once you get the hang of it, but definitely there is some level of art to it in understanding drain v supply. There are some automated features in cities and OF that keep most of the micromanaging at bay, and yes that means your used supply has gone towards staving off drain effects. When this starts to happen, its a sign that production drain penalties are getting closer too being enforced. When using supply, the Drain value  itself  becomes fuzzy a little in that it does not account for how much supply could be applied next turn.

I highly recommend reading the section on production and supply in the manual, as a lot of details are in there about how it is working.

This post makes me think I need to add a message in the production report that tells how much supply was used to maintain drain that turn. Currently you do not get that message.

Thanks for that. I have read the manual, but I guess reading it and understanding it are different 😂. I never really used drain much in EDEE. I'll get used to it with practice.

Map labels are cool 😉

One thing that I would like to see added would be automatic centering whenever a unit is activated.

Cheers

I have tried automatic centering, it sounds like a good idea, but in reality it is constant movement all over the place.

No worries, just thought I'd put it out there.

The AI is a funny thing sometimes, I just captured a city with 27 units inside!
