Hello,

I have a game in mind for some time that I would like to develop for the GBA. I never took the time to write down my ideas but the GBA Jam 2021 is the perfect opportunity to get started.

I don't think that the project as I imagine it will be fully realizable in 3 months but I will try to make some elements playable.

I'm sharing my work document with you. If some of you are inspired by my ideas I would be very happy to turn this personal project into a group project.

PS: My English is far from perfect, sorry in advance for the mistakes

Hey Cyril, I'm a composer looking to team up with people for the jam, your project looks  fun and interesting, I've left you an email!

Cyril, j’adore ton idée. Your design doc is compelling, and I think you should aim to at least prototype one or two game mechanics during the Jam. What kind of skills do you still need for your team?

Hi there! Thanks for your feedback! Any help is welcome! Everything is still to be done. Right now I'm working on writing the game and doing historical and iconographic research (which is taking more time than I thought).
I'm thinking of doing most of the pixel art for the world map myself but I'll probably need some help with the other graphic elements. I have some small challenges to solve in terms of programming. This area is not my strong point, so for the moment I've come up with some pretty simple game mechanics. I'll be able to tinker with the code for a demo myself. But my dream would be to find a partner to manage the technical side of the game.

I’ll write you a note. The fact that you’re investing into careful research and planning sounds actually really serious and well-intentioned to me.

Thanks Seism, I answered you by email.
The GDD will evolve in a few days. And the team is getting organized.
We will switch to Discord from now but I'll post  updates here from time to time.

I really want to play this game!

Thanks! We too!

Love the idea. And I love the Peirce quincuncial projection map idea!
