thank you!!

Super recognizable, I knew it was Porco Rosso even before looking at the description

Wow! It's really impressive! So technical!
I think you could get it to perfection with textures, adding dark lines to show the bodywork, a few mechanical details, and the flag on the tail. I think you could do away the crease on the top, it's the kind of things that don't work so well in PicoCAD.

thanks yeah I started to texture but hit the file size limit. Faces don’t all have UV data until you modify UVs - so while I was under the limit with the meshes, I hit the limit trying to map UVs.

I could redo the mesh and save some space to try and UV. I totally agree it would add a lot.

Oh, I didn't think texturing would count into the memory limit...
You are very persistent to work so close to the memory limit. I would stop before seeing how hard PicoCAD is chugging along.

I guess you can win a bit by having a simple plane for both attaches under the wings (using texture alpha to split them).
Also I'm under the impression that extruding is less expensive than adding new meshes, but maybe we could get a word from god about it.

Anyway, love your seeing your elaborate models, keep it up!

Updated just now.. was able to re-do the back half of the plane as a cube and gain a bunch of free memory to use for texturing.

Faces don't always have UV data until you move the default UV location. Once you do I think it adds to memory. Or maybe it's some different explanation.. either way, I found some space!

And yeah I need to get better at tracking how far along I am with memory.

Amazing! Great work with the textures!
I like how you also fixed the way the motor attach to the plane: before, there was a single iron bar, so when the motor would start it would just bend and break, whereas now it's solidly attached to the frame.

Developer

That's the main reason I wanted to do textures! I would never have been able to get all the connections with just colored polygons.

Thanks again
