Hello! When you say you can only install the guide, do you mean you only see the guide PDF in the download section?  Or are you having trouble unzipping the game after it's downloaded?

yes i only see the guide in the download section for it, there's no option for the game...

Hm, I logged out to see if the game was hidden from the download section, but I'm still seeing them.

Could you send me a screenshot of what you see when you click download? I'm not sure why it isn't showing up for you, but I want to help.

There it just always showed me the guide but not the game itself.

It looks like you're using the itch app, so I downloaded it and tested it out. The downloads don't show up for me either when I try using the "install" button, and I can't figure out why...

However, you can still access the zip files from the app. Here's how:

First, when you search for Fetch Quest in the app, you should see a "download now" button on the page:

When you click it, it will ask if you want to pay for the game. You don't have to.  You can bypass this by clicking "No thanks, just take me to the downloads".

Then you should have the choice to download any of the game files, not just the guide.

I hope that helps!

Thank you!!!  It reallyyy helps  me. But i cant seem to download  the file for it, it just always comes up as the guide. So i try using the browser and it shows up and i can finally play the game. Thank you so much, and sorry for the trouble... I'm also keeping an eye for any new game you might make in the future.

I'm glad you were able to get it working!

I don't know if this is related, but I noticed that some download install links have a little OS symbol next to the file name, and when downloading in the app it won't show you files for other OS's. Is there a way to easily add those symbols? That might be why it's not working in the itch.io app.

Thanks so much for letting me know! I checked the most recent game files, and it does look like I forget to specify which OS they were for. I've fixed it, and now the download files show up in the app!
