why are you playing music through the sound effect channel?

There isn't one single instance in Sileo where this is happening. What you might be referring to is how ambient audio volume is matched with the sound effect volume, and some of these ambient tracks (IE: The one in Diego's living room) have music in them - they're very much intended to be background details but I know that previously there were some cases where they conflicted with music used in scenes. This should hopefully be at least somewhat rectified now with the changes in todays update, but if any situations still clash, let me know and I can make adjustments accordingly.

oh its just that i turned down the music channel and i was still hearing the music . i spent the next 5 minutes looking through all my browser tabs drying to find where the music was coming from XD

then i closed the game and the music stopped.

That might have been an ambience track. There's a music jungle in Diego's living room that's meant to sound like the background noise of a TV. There were specific improvements to this in the update we just released.
