I think tilting the camera a bit more to one side might improve the intuitive side of the movements. But I know you would like to keep that simmetry effect. You can also control with mouse as if it was on mobile (P.S. this game would be great on mobile). You can try out these ideas if you want, but it's a very good question.

haha the thing is, this game is in 2d, I drew isometric vector art and didn't make 3d models, so it's not like I can swivel the camera at all.

I want to try and release post-jam on steam or mobile, so I totally agree with what you're saying.

I admit that it is difficult to rotate the camera with 2D assets. I will follow the evolution of this game =)
