Interesting game idea.

I managed to get myself glitched into the well soon after starting the game, and while I appreciate you were trying to be humorous, I really absolutely hate that cutscene.

Not because of bad graphics or anything similar or the length, but because you happened to make an obvious ableist stereotype mocking the mentally disabled.

Maybe that's not a slight to a game in whatever culture you come from but it sure as hell gives me a reason to not replay that intro to try to experience more.

Rated high for graphics though. and enjoyed the audio. Sorry for being harsh in some regards, but I would appreciate it if you try to realize how sensitive some topics are: For some people that's akin to calling someone of a different race an ape to their face or something similar; obviously saying something like that is being a racist SOB, but disabled people have feelings too right?

Oh ok. Something totally went wrong here.

When I read your text it took me about five minutes to get what you were refering to.
Now that I got it, I see its about my bad drawing skills. I didn't mean the goat to look mentally disabled, it should look like a silly person who is always making fun and can't hold still vor a sec.  But I think you have a point here that it could easily be mistaken :(   Big apology for that.

You know as it is a jam we had not much time, especially for the intro. Next time we will be more sensitive. Thank you for your feedback.

It's no problem, just something that you should keep in mind for next time working on a game.

I believe I'm probably right in the fact that it's a cultural thing, lots of places it's still seemingly acceptable to make jokes like that for some reason, and probably it wasn't meant as an insult to anyone at all but was just an unfortunate accidental implication, that would only be noticed by people who have been bullied for years by bigots using insults like that (meaningfully).

But using the word "special" to describe someone in an obvious undertone (set by the picture), is similar to referring to someone with a very offensive R word. Maybe you saw it as a joke and it's probable that you didn't see it as more than some kind of humor. But to some people, racism and homophobia are also attempts at "humor", which usually lead to them being blocked by most people, whereas it hasn't gotten to a point that as many people know as much about the negative sides of ableism.

I think the game was very well presented, I loved the graphics and enjoyed the music, and I would have continued to play it had I not managed to get myself stuck really early. I think it's really cool that you went to the effort to make an intro too. I think that aside from this one issue, it was the best game, game play wise I have played in the jam so far.

It just happened to be that I'm somebody who would be really upset by jokes like that. I'm really sorry to bring negativity to your game, especially after you left me a nice comment. But scrolling through the comments seeing people applauding the "humor", makes me worry about the amount of people that don't understand how hurtful words like that can be to some people.
