I think you have windows and linux together and it's given problems playing it?

It should work on both Windows and Linux. Admittedly, we haven't been able to do extensive testing on Linux OS.

I can start the game no problem but I can't read any of the words on the start screen literally I can't make out any of the words out on my windows laptop and when I load a save same thing happens.

Interesting. We've got another bug to iron out, and I'll see about running it in a Linux Virtual Machine. Maybe then I can figure out what's going on.

Inevitably we're going to have to push a quick hot fix for the few minor issues others find, so hopefully we can figure this one out as well before the day is over.

Greetings HollowKnight after a longer period than is likely necessary, we actually found this is an issue with the ren'py as they've recently removed a specific function from the latest versions.

Follow the instructions at this link and it should solve your issue.

You tried both updating your graphics drivers and holding Shift+G when launching to try a different renderer?

yeah I did I holding Shift+G when launching the game and try a different renderer , I think it's my old laptop the problem I really hop that not it.

Gotcha, well if that doesn't work, the best I can offer is try our Android build if you have a good phone. Otherwise I'm sadly out of ideas. :(
