As far as I'm aware, I've checked everything in his house... does the time of day matter?

Just rechecked every single square of his house, including the bushes and fence outside, day and night. Nothing new.

same here, already check Steve house, nothing already check every square, only found $5

Check the nightstands, if using a mouse or touch you might have to click on the lamps

A keyboard or a gamepad.

If you are using touch or mouse you might have to click on the lamps on the night stand rather the night stand itself.
