If you enter the closet in front of him then it is not a safe place. He can also open it at any time to check it.
And yes, of course he's breaking his own windows (he's a psychopath :D).
The full game will be released on Steam tomorrow (in 22 hours)! With currently 11 levels in total and more planned as an update in the future!
You should try out the multiplayer mode in the full game (it can be played alone/offline). I can guarantee that your 4th run will last longer than 2 minutes. The house is huge, every single item is random and changes its location.
The ladder makes the game easier, but there are still plenty of players who have spent hours because the game was too hard for them.

i personally could hop in and out the closet and mister pink did not want to waste time with a closet, nah, he decided to trap every single window instead.
