For the operating system, it was running on Windows Vista x32. But it has been changed to Windows Seven x64. Running x64 programs on a PC that does basic x32 often doesn't mix well.

For RAM, I run most games at low quality.
For yours, I tried to set the graphics to the minimum and the resolution to the minimum in Window mode. But that didn't change anything!

I'll send you a recording of exactly what's going on. https://www.mediafire.com/file/mycmiex0dh7t8nv/Record.zip/file

It is so strange, but I thought that you got the crash without even starting the game? In the recording, I see that you enter to the main screen and you can even select the level. Loading the levels takes a little bit of time (no idea why, I am not a pro dev and my knowledge of Unity is scarce, no idea why it takes some time to load levels). So, as far as I have seen, you try to load a level and then the game crashes and closes itself, right? Do you still have 2GB of RAM? Do you happen to have another PC to test the games?

Reply:

So it's not the levels that take time to load; after 5 minutes, they still do not launch!

So the levels don't start, but the game doesn't crash. It just stays frozen for eternity.

Another PC: no because I have another more powerful PC for work only.

And the RAM: I only have 1.87 GB left.

Levels take a bit of time to load but no way they take 5 minutes or even eternity. They might take like 30 seconds to me, but I have 3GB RAM. I think your issue is RAM, I can't think in another issue. But this raises me another question, how can you use x64 bits OS with only 2GB of RAM? Doesn't your PC go extremely slow? With that amount of RAM, I suggest you to change to x32 bits OS... or increase the RAM if you can.

To conclude, all these problems no longer concern me. The problem was just that I had too old a PC. v

 - DirectX  10

- Intel Chipset video card

- Intel Pentium II processor

- So many other obsolete stuff...

The PC still works but it is slower than when I had these problems.

I changed my PC 3 months ago and all the games I want are working now (including this one).

However, a problem arises: The "My Home" level is the only one that does not work.

I'm glad that you have got a new PC! Yes, I think I was also using the intel internal video card until I wanted to play some games and that wasn't enough and I just bought a graphic card :D

I just tested My Home right now after reading your comment and I can open the level. Are you getting any specific problem? The level might take some seconds to load. Also, this game received a small update in past spring so you are trying it in a good moment :)

I suggest to try again but please tell me if you get any error text or something, I'd like to know, although as I say, I just tested it right now and it works for me. If your pc is new and the other levels work, it must be just a loading issue. Sorry for the inconveniences, and I really appreciate that you keep trying despite all this time and issues!!

I hope you have great fun with your new PC :D

Thank you.

To answer you, the level in question just doesn't load (just freezes the game and Windows asks me to close it).

But I did a formatting in the meantime and didn't retest the game. When I got back from vacation, I would go see this new version.

Very strange, considering that most likely my PC is worse than you as you just got a new PC, it's weird. Also that level is not really heavy, I mean, if you could open the Futuristic Tower level, I think that's the heaviest level to load (I have bittersweet memories when I was developing that level back in time, loading the light took forever...), maybe the My Home level could be 2nd heaviest level to load.

And sure, thank you! The new version doesn't change much at all, I remade the menus, changed/added some music, changed stuff in the Modern Home level and now the Hamster level is not included, it's a standalone game that can be found in my Animals game page :)

I really hope you can make this game to work, after so much time trying and seeing issues, I think the moment when you say that all the levels work fine for you, I'm going to celebrate it :D

It will be a party indeed. XD

But more seriously, the level of the futuristic tower lag just a little bit but it works.

All I know is that my PC supports Unity games less well than any other engine (the Unreal Engine works quite well).

Amazing that UE works better in your pc than Unity, supposedly Unity games are lighter than UE games because graphics! And also this game doesn't have very high graphics. You can always try to run the game with lower graphics, you should get that option when opening the exe, before launching the game. Just curious if like that you can open it and the load time is decreased.

Good news!🙂   The level is working as of now.

Reaction to the update: The new font is very well found. I don't like the new title screen music too much; but I don't care, because I still have the old version on my PC. Speaking of the old version, I retested it and the My Home level still doesn't work in this one.

By the way, I have a suggestion: add a loading screen when you launch a level (earlier, I thought the game crashed when I launched the level (since the loadings are quite long (about 10 seconds))).

Hello! Thank you for commenting, and once again I think you downloaded the game in an even more perfect moment :D

It is very strange that new version works but old version doesn't work, since I didn't do any change to how the levels are launched - no code was changed, I even had to re-build the game with the same Unity version I used in the past because code issues, so it's indeed very strange.

I have no idea how I could implement a loading screen :D I think I never thought about it, but still no idea how it is done, but I will research about it just because curiosity.

About the new music, it's just that in the past, this My Home game and another game of mine entitled Animals shared music and some things, but with time, I wanted to separate them, so that's why I did these music changes. The old title screen music is the main title music in the game Animals, as it was also in the past :) and thanks for the font, it's pretty hard to find a good fitting font sometimes, specially when so many games, and wanting to give each game a kind of "different vision". If you have downloaded the game very recently, you should find a manual. I've been working on this for all my games. Nothing much special for this specific game since there is not much you can do, but still fun :)

Anyway if you enjoy the music you can always download it for free in my bandcamp. I'm also Anamura in there. Just download the album Animals for main title music, or My Home for the rest of the soundtrack :)
