if your save game is for a later version of the game, or will not work with the free version which is older

Apologies if this has already been asked, but is it possible to use a save from an old free version when switching to a newer version off of Patreon?Also, does anyone know how/where do I find saves on Chrome? Or is that in the FAQs, which are only available on Discord?
