1. Hi there! What's your name? Want to introduce yourself?

my name is red (ghoullunar) and i'm very nervous

everybody else has been saying what they do for school. im an intended english writing major going into my second year.

2. Did you participate in the last jam we held? If so, what do you plan on doing better this time? If not, what's your reason for joining?

i've never made a game before.

as for why i'm joining... i've always wanted to make a game. i just think that would be nice. having support is nice too.

i'm not familiar with game jams. i played Princess Remedy in a World of Hurt which was made for a game jam and that's about as far as i've been.

3. What games are your favorites? Did any of them inspire you, or made you want to make your own?

in terms of games that inspire me to make games, i really like the rpg maker horror games. ao oni is a favorite of mine. also IMSCARED is very good.

in general, i like nintendo and square enix games, and i like the mystery dungeon genre. my favorite game is Izuna 2: the Unemployed Ninja Returns, and also Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky and Animal Crossing New Leaf. Metal Gear Solid (thru 4) is also an inspiration in how i like to do stories.

4. Do you have experience with game development? What did you do/with what engine?

i started a basic text based adventure game in ADRIFT but couldn't figure out how to keep the story going after the first couple rooms

also i looked up some rpg maker tutorials once (i didn't read them)

5. Tell us about something you're passionate about!

i'm really passionate about writing. i want to do scripts for games. that's my dream job. i don't really know how that happens, but i want to get there.

and i really like to cook. it's something that came out of my love of video games. i'm really good at Cooking Mama (Cooking Mama and WarioWare are the only games i would actually describe myself as very good at) and seeing the steps and dishes while playing made me want to try doing it for myself. the internet makes it really easy to look up recipes, and the satisfaction that comes with making a complicated dish properly is immense.

6. What are your goals for this game jam?

-make sure people know if my computer is being shipped back late (the hinges broke and its in two pieces but hopefully it will be returned before the actual making bits)

-choose between ADRIFT and RPG Maker (ADRIFT seems more likely)

-don't make it too long

-finish it

-only cry 10 times or less (stretch goal) (i'm really nervous)
