Ahh the tiles! I kind of hated them too, but I couldn't really do better in the time allotted. It seems like they confused everyone though. A star system would also be a nice idea. I'm thinking that I could potentially convert it into a mobile game with some minor input adjustments, and the star system would probably be a good method of doing that.
