There is a lot of glitches to this game. I like the interpretation of 2020, (I also thought of doing something that but didn't do it after) I get that this is a prototype so here is some of my feedback.
The UI is a little confusing and feels necessary as I have no clue what its for. The blocks have different heights and don't fit onto the playing space well. The controls and how to pay the game is hard for me to comprehend so it took me some time to understand when I read the comments from the others below this.
However, the graphics are great, the colours compliment well. The audio is calm and soothing which is nice. Great job! It has quite a bit of potential. :)
I really like the concept and the look and feel of the game, but I had some bugs/problems that I ran into during my play, or there were aspects of it that simply weren't explained. For example several times the character would walk over one of the numbered 2020 numbers and not change direction, but instead keep walking the direction they were going. Other times they would change direction. I suspect there is some kind of bug so I hope you can fix it or explain what I might be doing wrong because I think this game has a lot of promise! And I agree with Brandaboss that having a dedicated starting point for the player would be better, as right now it can be too easy getting to choose where to start AND where to place the blocks.
This game idea is very cool, but there are some issues. At the moment, I can just loop the player between the green squares and a white square so that he never gets in any danger. I think a dedicated starting point would help the game be more of a puzzler. I loved the music and art style, and the random generation was cool. I also liked how you can change perspectives. Overall, great game!
It took me sometime to understand how to play it, but I liked it nice work :)
If you have some time to play my game too would apreciate it. Best of luck.
