I like where you're going with this but I had a lot of difficulty with how the character moves. Getting him to successfully jump diagonally seemed almost random at times. I tried all combinations of pressing W and D before jumping, as I'm jumping, together, one before the other but I could not figure out how to get him to jump diagonally every time :( I just couldn't get past the 3 appearing boxes over the super long spike pit. But, the art is nice, and the music fits well (although I wish it changed between levels)! All in all not a bad attempt for your first platformer :)
