so, what do I do with 'Weird fish' item? Can it be crafted to something else? or no?
and how to use 'Guard' skill? is it just to avoid grapples or it blocks attacks too?

I think it does offer damage reduction
It's mostly just used for comic effect, though there's some niche uses for it XD. Most items in the game will be like that.
Guarding reduces stamina damage by half! And also negates certain attacks.
