Just played about 45 mins of The Last Summer before I encountered a bug. In the cave after Timmy apologises, it just stops progressing. Can still press 'ESC' to open the menu, but that's it.

From what I've played so far, I loved the first two scenes with Timmy and his best friend. The atmospheres were polar opposites of each other, but I felt both of them. I smiled throughout their interactions in the first scene and felt the panic in the second.

I understand you are using RPG Maker, but see if there is any way you can tighten the movement as it feels like I'm walking on ice. It doesn't help that there is only one tile connecting the different maps, especially when it feels as though I should be able to move to the next map from other tiles.

One thing I felt put a damper on the game near the start was when Timmy left the house for the first time and basically shouted foreshadow at the player with his line about what was going to happen over the next couple of days.

The school scene that followed afterwards was an interesting turn though, and I liked how you portrayed his feelings and mental state through the shadow like characters. I am definitely interested to see what happens next, and how it ends. I've already worked out a few things, I think, but I definitely want to see more.

Thank you SO MUCH for appreciating the game :) i'm working hard these days to solve any bug or strange thing, and this one is the first time that happens! I will take a look to see if there is any error around, but i hope you saved before so maybe you can give it another try :)

No worries! Sadly I didn't save before that happened, but I'll probably have another run through later on tonight. And yeah I've seen you've been posting regular updates. Keep it up, and I'll let you know if I find anything else. But yeah, definitely look into that movement and having more tiles connect the maps. The last one shouldn't be too hard to implement if I remember correctly, just add a few more tiles that the player can use to move to the next map.

No worries and I didn't realise it was your first project in the engine. Kudos to you! And I'm not good at programming myself, so I completely understand where you're coming from. Just keep up the hard work and keep learning.

definitely :) stay tuned for next updates so you always have the latest version of the game :) thanks again! It's good to see my work appreciated

UPDATE - bug found, i will fix it for the next release (coming tomorrow) but if you want you can still play: just avoid pressing any directional button during that scene and everything should work fine :) let me know if everything works!
