I'll double-check (I played it for this) but I don't think that's the case. Anyway, the games are not meant to be faithful recreations of the original, but just to give an idea of the mechanic.

When you say you weren't able to get it to work, though, what do you mean? You weren't able to pick the lock? Or the game didn't load? Or something else?

I wasn't able to unlock it. Each segment could bend up or down (never straighten to its original orientation) and the angles were never right. Do you have a link to a video of the lockpicking minigame in Sherlock? Were there separate difficulties with different rules and limitations?

I'll take a look and make sure it's working as intended. You're right, in the game you can rotate 360 degrees, at least if you're using the mouse! I must have missed that. However, I think the lock is always a static, unchanging puzzle with the same shape that you need to match.

In the Museum I decided it would be fun to make a more systemic, randomizing lock, although if it's not working correctly that may not be the right approach :-)

Hmm, you're right, it's really not working correctly. I will take a look and see what I can figure out. This was a pain to get working at all! I'm annoyed that I didn't get it right.

Hi, the game should be fixed now. Thanks for pointing out the problem!
