hey loved the idea! would have been nice to also add cards that gave speed boosts or slows. Still love it!

yeah your right about that! ;)
but the problem was that this game is kind of very broken xD (in a lot of ways xD)
I had a lot of problems with the physsics of the player ( if I gave the player more speed, he would go flying xD)
and the opponent is not a really AI with a controller but is on a rails ( a spline in this case) that it follows.
so thats why there no card that influence the race it self, but I think you really right and that it would be more enjoyble if it was more connected with each other.
