The solution is the stone patterns outside of the actual jumping cave (to the right of the entrance!) It changes everytime you fail, so keep that in mind :) Good Luck!
I've played this game multiple times, and nothing really tops it. Leaf Me Alone (also a puzzle platformer) by Acid Nerve is really good and, you should check it out. This is still better.

[A] Just play the game regularly. [B] and [D] are doggo related. [C] Related to the man in the cave and how he got there. [E] Related to who you give the wood to.
I'm not gonna help the fire, then I'm gonna get the wood and then i'm gonna bring it back to the fire, then i'm gonna accept the fire then not give the wood to the fire then see what happens
Dang it the shadow guy won't let me run until I accept the fire task :(
New: I got the eternal friendship power up, gave the wood t the fire, then the dog came and put out the fire the grossest way I can think of! I love the dog!!!
A little bit of a bug, I talked to the fire guy at the very beginning and the darkness person didn't update his dialogue. Had to restart the game. I was thinking there was no way to continue...
Interesting. The Shadow dude should answer to you after you accept the initial quest by the fire (when the camera pans to the tree etc.). I'll check the code, maybe I missed a trigger in a specific dialog tree that leads to the quest.
Loved the game, great story, great gameplay (most i loved the doggo part ^^). Only thing i could criticize is the hitbox of the clouds at the end, that was a bit annoying, but overall a really great game, good job.

New Update! I haven't figured out the petting thing but I found the other new ending already, and tbh it made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Awesome update though!
Also there's a glitch at the tree, when you need to dance (after interrupting the tree) press esc then enter and the dance is skipped. Doesn't work for other dances afaik.
Another glitch I had was when I pet the dog, for some reason I was facing away from it and so the hand was weird.
EDIT: I think I got the other new ending as well!
EDIT 2: Yep I did! I regret "breaking free" once tho :p
Yo will there ever be an achievement system (not trying to be rude!) because it'll be cool if there is an achievement system in one of your games if not that's fine the game is literally amazing! and I found a few bugs like where you go to the shadow dude you teleport up past the busted bridge

ok so i defeated it normally i got the dog ending but i feel like there was more i dont think eternal friendship did anything other than give me the dog ending i got the stone skip jump one but each of the endings has a name at the end but i cant see anything more than the apocalypse one i think they stack or something which is annoying. this is a great game though i hope to maybe see that sequal that gets mentioned
Yeah, sorry! That is a bug (which will be fixed in the next upcoming release). There are currently three endings in total and it seems you got them all :)

I gotta go back on what I said earlier :) we actually added two more optional endings to the mix. Check out the dev log regarding the update if you want some hints how to get the endings.
The game is great and I love the humor but I cant find the third ending, I already got the one with **spoilers** cloud dancing and the one with the dog. I saw a guy in a cave and I think he has something to do with the third ending. Could you give me some clues? ;w;
Sure thing :) You're on the right track with the third ending. It involves getting over the river early in the game, before getting the double jump skill. You can jump over the river with well timed jumps (jump again just when your're about to hit the water and you won't drown). When you talk to the guy in the cave then, it will reveal the last ending :)
I love this game its the best game I've played on itch.io! i like this ending but I'm in the middle of it so i don't know what happens and the music is the best it is just so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!God Bless you creators! (: this is the second ending i did.
I really loved this game! The graphics were really nice, and the music felt like it had a place there. One thing that I noticed at the beginning of the game was that the screen would shake sometimes? I think this would have been due to the player getting caught on the clouds or something, but overall not a big impact on gameplay. Other than that, no major problems that I noticed! Good work, devs.
P.S. Is the ending song uploaded anywhere? It sounded like an original, it was really pretty!

Just so you know, the ones I've found were: the peeing dog, crossing the river in the early game, and finally raining on the fire.
Then you found the original three endings and are still missing D and E :)

Great game! This was a fun experience.

Running is a power up you get during the play through. The corresponding key is shift or the X or Square button on gamepads
I left the log in clouds and i gave the multi jump to dog and now i cant finish the game
You can reset the log by talking to the tree
