While, yes, we all supported this game years ago. And yes, I actually really enjoy the game (probably my favorite game I've played thus far in 2020, which is saying something, despite the bugs!). And yes, I do wish we would hear back from them (even if it's not about the next release, just interacting on the forum). I also do realize, they're a really small team. I am not even entirely sure how involved Scott has been in the whole process, due to his health issue he had (check his Twitter for more). So that seems like it reduces it down to just Mark doing the writing and the coding, with Chris helping out. I believe pcjr is also helping in some regard (not sure if he's coding, but I know he has a hand in the game development somewhere). There might be a few others helping, I am not sure. But as someone who has had a hellish year myself with a ton of very serious medical issues, I can definitely see how it just takes one wheel to come loose to make things come to a crawl.
And they could be, for all we know, pulling their hair out trying to fix some of the bugs we've encountered. Some of them seem unusually random which means finding the fix may be difficult.
So, I don't think they abandoned us at all. I just think they're either working on trying to fix the game (we've not even seen anything past the desert planet yet), or they may have things going on (small team, one wheel loose, slows it all down), or it could be a mixture of both.
We've waited a long time to get here - where we are now. I've enjoyed what I've seen. I'm willing to be patient and be ready for whenever the next build comes out.
