Current sprites are beta, hq is currently experimenting with styles and we want to make them fluffier. We might keep some of them and change the rest, though, we're not sure yet.
Aren't you worried about the characters losing their essence after re-drawing them?
They won't be radically different, but yes, that's something we need to be wary of.
However, we've shown the re-drawn Rune at our Patreon already and the response was only positive, so we're cautiously optimistic.
