Yeah he hated his dad. And I mean HATED!

Max: Talking Back. DROP AND GIVE ME 20 OR YOU'RE. GOING. IN. THE. HOLE!

But he picked up some stuff. Anyway his dad is dead so I guess he doesn't have to care about him anymore. Unless his ghost comes to haunt him.

Max: Now Listen. And listen well bc I'm not saying this twice! You're gonna go through this obstacle course. *boom. there's now a military obstacle course in the garden* *explains obstacle course perfectly* (IDK much about the military ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) And I don't wanna hear any huffs or puffs! This is the simplest obstacle course there is! If I hear a single groan you won't hear the end of it.

Max. Chill. You're not getting him ready for the military you want him to care about life.
