Personally, I really liked the story so far in Ouroboros Syndrome so don't doubt your writing skills.
That said, I can definitely see why people expecting an H game like Yorna were caught off guard by radically different tone of the game. The H-scenes seemed to be removed by the main focus of the game and didn't really mesh well with the main story.
I was fine with that though. I came to enjoy the story for what it was, got really invested in in it, and viewed the H-scenes as a nice bonus. The fact that they were animated made them an even bigger bonus.
