As you say, try different options to get to the true ending, and I do it. Interested in the story anyway. But it was surprisingly easy to reach the True Ending, the one hard for me to find is the Bad Ending, too three retries for me to get it!
True ending does gives you the truth of what happen, but I rather stick with Good Ending.
Bad Ending makes me do not want to associate with the boyfriend, and want to just kick his butt.
Addition to the game good point, the girlfriend character is very expressive and that's really good. Most new visual novel lacks the ability to properly utilize their character model to convey their character feelings, but you manage to do it.
