I've tried it in a few different ways. Once the hose is in, nothing happens save for task completion message. I had Weldon do his thing before I ever went inside, sometimes the seat was there, sometimes it wasn't. <In the first attempt I didn't realize I could remove the broken hose, or tape it. Red Greene forgive me. And don't get me started on the ladder. Though that I'll post in bugs. It causes a crash if you mess with it.

I waited until I had the pieces in the hangar before getting Weldon to do anything.  I've got a few saves at different points. My most recent attempt at trouble shooting has everything sealed, crap-a-lytic is installed, and the hose replaced. But the Engine is still reading as non functional on the readout.

I'm not sure if I'm missing something <Did I leave the parking brake on?>, sequence broke something <Retried different orders>, or maybe this is a bug or Gremlin if you will as we're dealing with something that flies.

When you replaced the hose, what happened for you? Engine panel close, or did it stay open?

Panel stays open, for sure. Doesn't close till "take off"

Alrighty, that's good to know. Think I spent a good 20 or so minutes trying different possible ways of closing the panel initially before posting on here.

So I managed , somehow to get the ship completed. Seems I'm at the mercy of Space RNJesus. Scraps appeared on the screen, crapalytic test, fueled ship, good for launch. Except no gas in the tank, then ended up in a never ending animation  of Ace entering and exiting the ship. Going to reload some previous saves and see what I can/ did do differently.

The no gas in the ship is correct, that's not a bug. You start with very little gas (so you will need to find gas somewhere).

Ok, that's reassuring. Thanks.
