I went into this as just a visual novel. Noticed that it was incest and that aspect of it kinda put me off even with the changed language of landlord and tenant. But I got stuck. Even when I got disturbed by some of the incestuous themes, it was hard to stop reading because the characters are so well written.

However to critique the current version. The blanket change from mum to landlady, dad to landlord and children to tenants makes it a little bit odd. Very few people would have any connection to their landlords and when the MC and Sandra talk about starting a family, it doesn't really make sense to keep talking about becoming landlords and tenants. I'm going to guess you have some changes in mind, since this is still in development, but I still think I can give an idea that I think could solve this issue to distance from incest. Make the MC be adopted by the MC's father, meaning no blood relations. Have Rebecca not be the mother at adoption but a step mother. This scenario would allow the relationships to not be incestuous but still retain all the scenarios to make sense. The MC isn't the true brother of Lucy and Sandra, but his presence in Rebecca's life is so that he would almost be a brother.

Just a thought because it kinda becomes weird to read landlady, landlord and tenant constantly lmao.

Incest is against patreon TOS that's why the dev had to remove all mentions of relations that you can find in the game. There is a patch that enables it, you can get it here: https://lewdpatcher.com/game/my-new-family , you should notice that all games that are published on patreon as well are automatically censored. The dev can not allow incest in his games that's why ther eis unofficial patches.

That makes sense. I assume thusly that the landlord terminology is only temporary until the full release of the game?

No, Incest will never be in this game unless you use the patch. No matter what time of the release, as long as the dev needs support from Patreon it will never feature incest. That's why you have to get the mod, it's unofficial.

Just started the game and really couldn't get into the game because of the weird terminology that made it sound like a non native English speaker translated only those 3 words. Dude, I really wanna know so be honest here with me: why IN THE FLYING FUCKING FUCK people who don't agree with incest play NSFW games that have incest? Just to cry out loud in the comments and trash talk about the game? Because that's basically what you're doing here.

Even worse: you want the dev to change the story, the script and all that shit just because you don't like it.

Dude I wrote quite clearly that even though the incestuous story was weird to me, I became heavilly invested in it. I never trashed anything about the game. I gave constructive criticism about the way the story was structured because the game had already changed to shy away from the incest stuff. I felt the changes made were done in a clumsy way and thus made a point about how it could be done without being as clumsy. Maybe you should chill out and learn some reading comprehension.

Even step mom and step sisters that are not blood related is a big no no on patreon. So no, your suggestion wouldn't work either. Patreon is strictly anti incest and if you want incest you have to use the mod.
