You need to charge area the summons and then charge single the boss after wiping out the summons.  When the boss finally goes for their own single charge you need to do a regular attack followed by a quick attack.  That way you'll barely survive the boss's regular attack.  You'll then repeat the charge area and charge single strategy again and then finish the boss of during their charge state with a final single charge.
