Few points of feedback:
Positive:
- Super smooth and satisfying movement, great job on that :)
- Awesome soundtrack
- Pretty good visuals
- Really well-designed sound and hit marker UI
- When you are moving, it feels really good
- Interesting use of the theme I haven't seem before
Negative:
- Having an options menu but no fullscreen option is painful, since it opened fullscreen by default on the wrong monitor and I was unable to move it
- No dedicated restart key, which got annoying after having to fall into the ground to die for the 5th time
- The objectives you need to complete sometimes feel random and unguided.
- Sometimes the powerup spawns don't feel intuitive.
- Enemies having a lot of health means I have to stop my super cool flying movement and sit in place and smack them a few times, totally breaking the trance.
- Sometimes when jumping I won't be able to make it to the height I want (not the double jump parts), and I'll have to crouch jump or strafe around it which just feels bad in a game with such fast movement
- In some of the levels, the theme isn't even used or present at all (Level 6 is just a slice-fest, which is fun, but not the theme)
Basically, my main gripe with this game is most of the time I have no clue what to do or what I'm doing, which necessitates repetition. Which might be the point in a game called "RE:RUN," but it just feels annoying and out of my control (would have been great for GMTK's jam ;) ). Don't get me wrong, the game is fun. It just has a few flaws I wanted to point out.
