Hi everyone! My name's Jan, and I've never done a game/tech jam before! I'm excited :)

I have experience in music, theater, physics, EE, software, aerospace, and web. I'm currently getting into SVG animation, so maybe I'll make something related to that. I've set aside Sunday for jammin. Woo!

Hi Jan welcome to the party!  Excited to see what you come up with.

Woah cool! What sort of work do you do in physics/aerospace??

I got my BS in Physics but haven't done any real work with it yet. I worked at NASA JPL as a Systems Engineer making cloud-based software for mission requirements tracking. I'm currently making a web-based collaborative satellite design tool, and I can send you a link once that's up and running! :) Definitely looking to leverage past experiences/knowledge more, though.

Super cool! Collaborative satellite design!? I'd love to see a link when it's up. I also have my BS in physics and am looking for ways to put it to use in my career, hopefully in a way that involves software engineering. Good to meet someone with similar interests!

Alright, I have my idea. Since I've never made a game before, I have no idea how ambitious this is :P

You are an extraterrestrial that comes to Earth for the first time. The simplicity of human ears surprises you, because you can control your ears. While humans can only hear sounds between 20 Hz and 20 kHz, you can tune your ears to hear lower or higher frequencies. Also, you can adjust your overall sensitivity to pick up quiet sounds or focus on only the loudest sounds. These abilities enable you to hear harmonies where humans hear nothing, so you decide to explore Earth and see how many things you can find that harmonize with each other.

I'm going to make it as a web app: SVG + Web Audio API + Vue.js

Would love to talk about it! I'll post a link once I get started, and hopefully can have a working version in a few hours.
