so today it seems 17 views, Majority coming from this thread. Barely any views from players.

It's still middle of the week. If the points voiced in this thread are relevant or not, who knows. But I believe that context is important. You cannot advertise a game on Itch the same way as on Steam and vice versa. That includes things like the name and the cover image, but also the tags. And the short description under the cover image. If it looks too shiny, it currently is perceived as ai slop.

Shoud you revise your cover image for Itch, you can include additional information, like a Steam release date or any other gimmick that implies, that it's probably not ai. Or showcase additional features like the 3d graphics. 3d games are rather rare on Itch.

I am not your target audience, so I cannot genuinly tell, if that game's outside appearance would make me visit, or if the description would entice me to try downloading the demo. But I can tell you that I am not particularily interested in clicking any project that has demo in it's title. From my perspective, people do not come to Itch to browse demo versions. They accept games that are in development. But demo version implies there is a full version that is somehow not on Itch. So why bother looking at something that is not actually on Itch.

thank you for your comment and perspective. I will try to play around with the tags and implement your feedback

Best look how other people do it, that have a similar situation.

For starters: https://itch.io/games/steam-key

Maybe there is a pattern how their Itch presence differs from their Steam presence.

Also, https://itch.io/games/tag-3d-platformer But I am not sure if your game counts. I think your game is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2.5D but I do not know which tags are common for that.
