Very cool! Reminds me more of Rogue based on the screen shots. You should check out Dandy for Atari 800 -- similar vein, and it (over time) morphed into an Atari 7800 version and arcade gauntlet. Also 6502 assembly (sources on Github as I recall -- I ported the source to ca65 a few years back)
