Hi relaygames! I’m Shiko, founder of Aurora Studio, an emerging Hong Kong-based, Asia-led indie game publisher. I really like how Watchtower turns routine lookout tasks and radio conversations into a narrative mystery.

I’d be interested in learning more about your plans for the game and whether regional publishing support could be useful. If you’re open to a conversation, please feel free to reply here or reach me through https://www.aurora-studio.org/publishing/

Best, Shiko

Hi Shiko, thanks a lot for the kind words and for reaching out!

I'm open to a conversation. Could you tell me a bit more about how you'd see it working? – Which games have you published so far? – What kind of support do you usually offer (funding, localization, marketing in Asia, platform release)? – What does a typical deal look like (revenue share, regions, duration)?

For context: the game is now built up to day 28 of ~36, and I'm currently talking to publishers about funding a professional voice cast and a Steam release.

Best, Sergey

Hi Sergey,
Thanks for the detailed reply. Yes, absolutely, and I think it would be easier to continue this properly by email.
Aurora Publishing is currently building a selective indie publishing pipeline. Our previous commercial release experience includes OMSI 2: Project Numazu, developed with our team and released with Aerosoft as publisher, where we were also involved in regional promotion, media and creator campaigns in Asia.
For new projects, our support can vary depending on the game and its needs. This can include publishing strategy, Steam/store positioning, localization, QA coordination, regional marketing, creator/press outreach, platform expansion planning and, where appropriate, production or marketing funding discussions.
We do not use one fixed deal structure for every project. Depending on the scope, we may discuss non-exclusive services, regional publishing, or a broader publishing partnership. Revenue share, territories, duration, recoupment and funding would therefore depend on what Aurora is actually financing and operating.
Your point about funding a professional voice cast and preparing for a Steam release is especially useful context. Before discussing specific commercial terms, I’d be interested in understanding the voice-cast budget, current development status, planned release window, Steam plans, existing funding, and what support you would ideally want from a publisher.
If you’re comfortable, please email us at publishing@aurora-studio.org and I can send over our developer/partner overview and continue the discussion there.
Best, Shiko Aurora Publishing
