the atmosphere was built up strong it had me invested and even locked in to those click-and-point routine and investigation. got invested enough in the story to wonder and even search for the themed flower, mayyybe there was a real inspiration of it? It reminded me a bit of lily of the valleys though. Also even if the UI was simplistic, it was creative to bring out the details that matched the story, like the save click-hover box with the versions of flower and that skeleton hands over the tombstone-shaped textbox. plus the mystery was well-rounded methinks SPOILER
to the point of leaving me this oh-no ouchie felt so bad losing Wolfi, oh, I still think about him… The duality manipulation and gaslight quality was wicked too in a way you could fall in the threshold of pitying/mourning his fate and invoke your wrath to choke him. Favorite endings were bad end 2 the title had me dying for a sec there too, also good end 1(?) Morningbelle, the second good end was good in a way that left me numb and haunted remembering Wolfi’s efforts went for naught by the MC like lol that was evil yeah, but it was fitting and interesting since they had accumulated too much affection for the ghost they shouldn’t have disturbed the death of as they said, it told and formed the MC’s character rather than complete blank slate.
Thank you so much for your comment!! I’m glad you liked the atmosphere! I tried pacing it out so the story wouldn’t feel too repetitive or uninteresting during the playthrough. The morningbelle was inspired by the blue plumbago flower + lily of the valley. I just slightly changed the flower shape, so they would look more like “bells” :)
