the Poseidon scene setting the bar for the rest of the demo is such an interesting way to find a visual language for the whole story. and partial voice acting alongside the new staging sounds like a big shift in how the characters land. which earlier scene changed the most once you started moving the camera/sprites more?

Hah! You're right. We went hard with that scene and then were like... oops now the rest of the game looks a bit stiff, so I wanted to add a bit more visual interest in those scenes too! (Plus I'm paying attention to that in future scenes as well)

I think the second scene, with Demeter and Persephone, actually changed the most visually. While it did have some sprite animations, the "camera" was in the same spot all the time, and now it moves around with different shot sizes and doing some scene-setting pans around the background that I think really add to it!

In some scenes I wanted to add even more, but with some characters being silhouettes, it was a little bit awkward to do close ups when no expressions are displayed haha
