A more dynamic and complex movement system would make it more engaging, or in general any sort of unique movement / combat mechanics. I think the idea has merit, but to really become a more interesting thing it needs to have some less bland platforming. The animations should be sped up as well - they feel really weird as is. Aside from those things, I liked the concept and the stunning of the enemies, and I liked the level design.
