I'm so used to Yandere x Y/N that it surprised me to see an actual couple with an actually preestablished lore.
I downloaded it as soon as I saw it, then I got sidetracked by life.
Honestly I'm very happy that I got to play it.
The artstyle is honestly so unique in a way that kind of scratches at my brain, Zhiqiang especially startled me in a good way when we saw his face.
And Yulan is just so pretty, it's not often to see a girl on the bigger side, especially as the focus of such affections, so it was quite nice. (I especially loved her wedding outfit. I know it's in the worst ending, but she looks so decadent!)
The way they naturally complimented each other is well-written, the girl and her guard dog is always a very peak dynamic <3
I took my time to get the endings, and when I realized that Zhiqiang was the one that she had slashed with her pin I honestly gasped.
And I have questions! Who was the other person he killed that he used as a stand in for her? What happens to Yulan in the 'His Vows' and 'Red Wedding' Ending? What is their dynamic in 'Our Devotion'? I mean, she confirms she's getting married to Mr. Perfect because it's advantageous, so I'm really curious! (Honestly hope that there would be a nice balance where she is in a happy (if platonic) marriage with Mr. Perfect while being with Zhiqiang, but what do I know, really?)
Thank you for taking so much time to make this visual novel, the story was clear and interestingly mysterious with the Night Eye organization as a whole, your efforts are seen and appreciated, and I can't wait to see more from you should you decide to do more!
