The movement is very fast, which weirdly took me out of it feeling like a Game Boy game.
I love the pyramid enemy very cool design.
Tough mechanics, but give it a few tries and you start to get the hang of it!

The movement speed increases of 50% when you are under 40 coins, so that's mabye what happened to you.
