The Haunted Castle

Today’s pixel art is inspired by the video game Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse for the Nes console. The graphics are stunning—it feels just like a mystical movie, especially after the opening sequence. It’s like cinema, but in 8-bit. I was absolutely captivated by it during my 8-bit childhood.

And here is my drawing inspired by Castlevania III (Nes). The castle has incredibly high ceilings—the first thing the adventurers saw. Massive columns stretching all the way up, as if the castle weren't built for humans, but for some otherworldly forces. A strong wind was blowing; the gusts swept through these halls.

Then, the first ghosts appeared. You didn't even notice them at first—not until your companion tugged at your shoulder and pointed. He pointed to a massive shadow slowly moving toward you. It looked like a giant of a man, yet it walked with the slow gait of a zombie. It was semi-transparent, like a phantom, and toweringly tall.

It looks like it’s time to run. The ghosts are slow. You are determined to infiltrate this haunted castle—no matter what.
