Well first travelling back across the planes is a hassle. And second it doesn't make sense. How would a sect on the mortal plane be able to help a god.
Actually the main use of a sect at that point is the five year secluded cultivation. But if the sect is on a lower plane it is actively hampered because it doesn't have access to the same Qi density.
The intentions behind it was for the player to join a better sect. Sorry about this, really. A major update will be going live at Noon. It was partially in the works during 1.1 and I hope the additions are for the best. There will be some nerfs in terms of qi density difference between planes as a heads up. It was woefully balanced honestly.
Well yeah, that's what I mean. You want to join a better sect when you move up the planes. It's not as if that's a challenge. I had plenty of money by the time I ascended to refound and rebuild a sect, and if someone didn't have the money they could just join one of the existing sects. But having to destroy your old sect to do that felt wierd narratively.
