First I picked up the chicken without healing mid-battle (this takes a little luck). Using that I got the paladin who I then used to get the dark knight. After that I cleaned up all the dark elementals and then the fire elementals. At that point my guys were out of juice, so I reset and picked up the multi-element one (since it resists all elements anyways), then the sea dragon, and finally cleaned up the earth elementals.
okay thank you, that's really interesting. i tried for a while to get the pie too, and i wasn't successful, but i took a similar approach. the only differences are that i went for the earth dragon first instead of the archeopteryx, and i wasn't as aggressive about resetting for favorable rolls. so i didn't get all the way there myself... glad to hear i was on the right track. of course, i'm very impressed, too - nice work
