Fighters over Green Meadows
Today’s pixel art is inspired by the video game *Exerion* for the Nes console. It’s a shooter with a rear-view perspective—something unusual, as most games of the time used side or top-down views. It had a sort of 3D feel to it—or at least, that’s how people described it back in the 80s. The graphics might not have been the most sophisticated, but it was certainly an entertaining space shooter.
And here is my drawing inspired by *Exerion* (Nes). The green planets of the region. Lord Korn has sent his fighters here, and the Green Meadow Alliance has dispatched its own fighters just in time. Now, the outcome will be decided right here on these green meadows—in a distant solar system filled with green planets and green meadows.
Simple art inspired by a simple shooter. It feels almost like an Atari game—maybe Atari 7800—even though it’s technically Nes. A bit of space sci-fi.
