I actually just created a scan spell myself from scratch LOL. Works very well.

Well I am glad you got it working. I am not sure what the issue was with Battle Core as it seemed to work when I tried it in their Sample Game project and used an Input Wait. Maybe there is some setting in Battle Core you have configured that causes the conflict, it is a giant obfuscated plugin so it's hard to troubleshoot.
