Yeah you are totally right with regards to the ending. I wanted to make four dedicated endings and dragging out the process a bit after having gotten the room with the four creatures on the doors but with the cat having kidney stones (he’s much better now) and end jam fatigue I had to make it much simpler than planned.
Very happy you liked the game and the visuals and the riddles didn’t fully trip you over! The one you are referring to, the most difficult of the elemental rooms, you need to notice that the snail is rhyming:

The second part is realizing there’s only one critter in there so “everyone” is agreeing. =)
