This work strongly reminds me of the core theme of Detroit: Become Human. As a string of digital code, Haru is eventually endowed with a soul. What sticks with me most are those scenes: Haru keeps saying "good morning" over and over, and after he violently kills others, his victims still lie on the ground with smiles on their faces. These moments are far more unforgettable than the romantic scenes between him and the player‑character.
While playing, I kept wondering whether Haru could be regarded as a being equal to a real human. The vast pitch‑black void outside the house also gave me this vivid sense that only you and I exist between heaven and earth.
The blend of cyberpunk atmosphere together with the profound Chinese‑style tragic romance of hen‑hai‑qing‑tian (endless sea of resentment and boundless passionate love) is absolutely amazing. These ideas and storytelling are truly wonderful.
